The Kills is my soundtrack as I journal this morning.
This may seem counterintuitive as I’m writing about spirituality, but it’s working for me.

You Talk
It’s Monday morning and I’m off to look after a sweet, silly four year old and his adorably active eight month old twin brothers.
But before I go, how about a little Babyshambles to begin the day?

laundry, sushi, fresh produce, and Cousins on Friday
It’s Friday.
Laundry and grocery store day…only I’m having some difficulty getting motivated to leave the house. Laundry is well sorted because laundry is my “jam”.
YBW requested sushi because my plan is to go over Wegmans to grocery shop. It’s cloudy and I’m feeling lazy. I just want to snuggle up with a good book. But I think I want fresh produce even more…so off to Wegmans I’ll go.
Perhaps a bit later though.
Right now I’m going to listen to a little Vampire Weekend.
You can too!
This is ‘Cousins’ from their sophomore album, ‘Contra’.
Please listen responsibly.
future starts slow
It’s all about The Kills in the Robynbird’s Nest this morning.
You can holler, you can wail.
You can blow what’s left of my right mind.
You can swing, you can flail.
You can blow what’s left of my right mind.
I don’t mind.

How about a little Duffy this morning?

I get along
I’m SO feeling the Libertines this afternoon.
Here’s I Get Along from their debut album, Up the Bracket performed at the 2015 Reading Festival.
I always sing this part to Sundance to make her chuckle.
“I get along singing my song. People tell me I’m wrong…
F**k ’em!”
But seriously, I’ll do me and everybody else can just mind their own.

robin birds are here
Guess what I saw Friday afternoon!?!
Robin birds in my front yard!!
I was so excited I could hardly stand myself!
I wrote long ago of my love of Spring and the importance of seeing the first robin of Spring in Spring is springing!.
Spring isn’t quite sprung around here, we’re expecting more snow this week.
But these birdies don’t seem to care! They were frolicking all over the yard Friday afternoon!
I went out to get the mail and this is the only bird that didn’t fly away when I opened the front door!

I woke yesterday morning to the sound of their singing: Cheerily, cheer up, cheer up, cheerily, cheer up.
Even with more snow on the way, these robins are here. And with them, the promise of spring!
I am one happy Robynbird!
“dance again”
I was up and out of the house by 7:30 this morning to make it to an 8:00 doctor’s appointment.
I listened to Skipping Girl Vinegar and felt the need to share.
