September gratitude

As September closes and we’re still having days in the upper 90s, it’s hard to pay attention to anything, much less what I’m grateful for. But Indian summer or not, I’m aware. And I’m grateful.

My Washington Nationals are hosting the LA Dodgers today at 5:30 and tomorrow at 4:00. I’ve crossed every possible appendage for swift at-home victories. We have the ability to beat them, especially with our home field advantage as long as these boys can keep it together.

We’ve got some great ball players!
We’ve suffered the blow of losing our very own Buffalo, catcher Wilson Ramos to an ACL injury. But Lobaton and Severino are good catchers.
MVP Bryce Harper and Baseball God, Daniel Murphy are both coming off the DL…neither at quite 100%.
Rookie phenom Trea Turner is as great at the plate as he is in the outfield. Danny Espinosa has been a home run hitting machine of late.
We’ve got Werth and Zim, “Two Bag Tony” Rendon ready to go!
