Little D in the house!

Little D came to play today!
After seeing him every day for two straight years, only seeing him once a month is unsatisfactory, but it’s the new way of being. And as Grandaddy would have said, “You’re old enough for your wants not to hurt you.” True, sir. But I miss that sweet boy!
Little D’s dad and (soon to be) new mom went to meet with their wedding coordinator and to purchase items for their house that’s being built.

Little D and I made french toast together.
He watched “garbage trucks” on YBW’s ipad while we got ready to leave the house.

We ran a quick errand, during which he got a cat nap in the car.

When we got home, he and YBW played trains.

He was all about YBW today, which is cute, because YBW really misses having little boys in this house.
I was fortunate enough to get a super big snuggle before they finished setting up the tracks.

He told YBW, “This is the best day!” about fifteen times.
I’m not sure about all that, but I will tell you I’m so happy I got the spend the day with that kid!

  1. Aww, Little D is a darling little boy, Robyn!! Such a nice list of activities including cooking, technology while relaxing and “intense and serious” road building with YBW! Big hugs for the boys! (Playing on “Let’s Hear it for the Boys” song, corny, I know. . .) xo

  2. Let’s hear it for the boys! I LOVE it! This little boy came to me in a time in our lives when we could really make a difference for each other. ❤

    • This is great about how sometimes life “falls into place,” Robyn. 🙂
Glad you knew that song, since you are younger than I. It is fun for me to associate situations with music. I went to see “Bad Girls” and noticed some of “my” songs fit into the wacky and raunchy plotline. We laughed anyway!

  3. Isn’t it funny when “your songs” become adverts or are in films? I guess we’re “of that age”? 😉
